Mike Davis: Underrated Fighter Showcase #2
Career performances of Mike “Beast Boy” Davis
Mike Davis (October 7, 1992) is a really promising MMA Fighter on the rise in the Lightweight division of the UFC with an official record of 4-1 currently in the UFC. Let’s take a look at his UFC career so far.
Mike Davis(5-0) vs “Super” Sodiq Yusuff(6-1)
DW Contender Series 2018: Week 6
May be an L on the record but Davis was in it till the last second and made good account of himself which put him on the watchlist of fighters with potential to be something
Mike Davis(7-2) vs “The Young Lion” Thomas Gifford(17-8)
UFCFN: Joanna vs Waterson
After a tough short notice L to the very dangerous Durinho Burns, Davis returns to give one of the most brutal performances ever eventually being able to put Gifford down and out late in the 3rd.
Mike Davis(8-2) vs “The Dragon” Mason Jones(10-0)
UFC Fight Night: Chiesa vs Magny
Davis took on the Former CW Double Champ and once again puts on a banger while winning a fun competitive fight to take Jones’ 0.
Mike Davis(9-2) vs “Slava Claus” Viacheslav Borshchev(6-2)
UFC Fight Night: Dern vs Yan
After a pretty hefty layoff, Davis returns in a fight that was kinda tough on the feet but used his grappling and earned a tough victory that was pretty dominant when it came to grappling.
Mike Davis(10-2) vs Natan “Lethal” Levy(8-1)
UFC Fight Night: Tuivasa vs Tybura
After an even longer layoff, Davis returns and looks in top form dominating Levy, hurting him on the feet and also mauling Levy in the grappling leading to the Arm Triangle finish in the 2nd round.
Davis returns later this year against Drew Dober who will be a tough but very winnable fight. The only critique about Davis is the activity since he’s a very talented fighter looking better each performance. He’s a dark horse and has potential to be something special in my opinion.
